Cheapened Funerals and Artificial Flowers

(Distasteful visuals borrowed from Web miscellany.  No, they aren't funny.)

So, they conducted funeral services for Michael Brown in Missouri yesterday.  At least one TV network reporter referred to him as Mike, as if he’d known him since birth.  All I really know is, his father was pleading yesterday and the day before for privacy as he and his wife prepared to bury their 18-year-old son.  Parents must fear this potential obligation every day of their lives.  You never know.

Of course, privacy wasn't in the cards.  If the media frenzy wasn't party-atmosphere enough, the list of some "dignitaries" attending this bon voyage, or make that a farewell, borders upon disturbing.

Sharpton spoke and wanted everybody to understand that he wasn’t preaching hatred, but the usual pot-stirrers attended nevertheless.  More disappointing was the absence of the shop owner who young Michael apparently strong-armed and robbed, who could have taken the podium to describe what a fine, upstanding young  thug  person the guy was.  One suspects that Michael Brown loved his family and his family he, but Brown's life on the streets obviously wasn't showing the same love.  He made a choice in the shop, and one might just conclude that it wasn’t his first diversion from the straight-and-narrow.  You are known by the crimes you keep, especially when they’re recorded in glorious video, and, as in weddings, video memories are forever.

The dignitaries.  A presidential cabinet member and three White House aides attended the services in order to. . .to. . .sorry, I forget, or maybe I didn't know in the first place -- why are they there?  To support the shop victim after his ordeal?  To award a posthumous meritorious strong-arming  medal to Michael Brown, and perhaps a good conduct medal to story-changing Brown cohort and police person-of-interest Dorian Johnson?  Hmm, no that's not it.  Well, no matter, Eric Holder had already visited Ferguson, a trip he had to make in order to. . .because. . .oh, I am so confused.

This may be a stretch, but I'm thinking the White House representatives attended just as practice, in case these folks ever get around to attending the funerals of military heroes and other Americans who actually contributed something to society other than bullying and stealing.  Strange that the White House apparently couldn’t bother to send any such delegation to the funeral of a (two star) major general gunned down in the Middle East a few days ago, a man who dedicated his whole life to protecting the United States.

But A.G. Eric Holder is the puzzler.  He, the co-architect of "Fast and Furious" gun-running in Mexico, allegedly resulting in the deaths of border personnel and numerous Mexican nationals, seemed so out of place last week in Missouri.  Six (?) shots from a police officer's weapon up against how many fired from Holder-approved, high-powered weaponry in Mexico?  Oopsie.
Anyway, who's counting, and if somebody was counting bullets using Common Core mathematics standards, counting wouldn't be finished until several more useless steps were implemented to reach a solution.  Yes, I've digressed. . .

Nevertheless, after professional rioters and communists raise their arms, cry and scream  Don't shoot!  at the funeral session, within view of news cameras, natch', everybody will rest up and re-focus their attention upon pillaging and cop-bashing, and again demands for police officer Darren Wilson's head will fill the streets.  To these folks, justice means their version of justice.  Could that be more in-your-face?

Trouble is, ya gotta treat street mobs and their one-track mind twit supporters like little children who become violently destructive if they can't get what they want, and man-oh-man do they want Officer Wilson -- and what you have to do is tell the thugs-R-us crowd that the official investigation will take weeks, maybe months, and then you hope and pray that once the real truth comes out -- which likely surfaced two minutes after officials first arrived at the death scene --  the irrational and politically motivated human detritus will have become more or less docile with the passage of time.  Good luck with that.  Moronic Missouri governor Nixon and the affable Holder have already used words that may be interpreted as condemning the police officer -- assuring that chaos will again prevail, should Officer Wilson be exonerated of all charges.  Oh, well, they might pin a minor charge or two on him just to  be  seem fair to the rabid crowds, but the fact is that nothing but nothing ticks off the take-to-the-streets bunch like cops declared even remotely innocent.

Statistics released a few days ago appear to demonstrate that black people killing other black people is the crime that skyrockets, and only a fraction of the total over several years have involved black people killed by police officers (and by white officers at that).  But the myth prevails and the myth-makers persist, and their podiums are as at-home at funerals as they are at street protests.

And -- what's this?  A whitish sort of youth killed by a not-whitish sort of cop in Utah or someplace a few days ago? Media?  Why would the media care?

Increasingly, we are ruled by lies over truth, and on this very day nobody realizes that more acutely than law enforcement personnel across the nation.  Society has honored and buried a young thug on this day, a menacing thug old enough to make certain choices, who somehow was painted as something akin to a war hero.  He is not a hero, he was a thug, and we can say that with clarity simply because of a store’s video and nothing beyond that.  In Air Force hospitals in the sixties and seventies I met many young men of all races who were heroes.  The Obama White House, except for a few occasions when handing out awards seemed politically expedient or required, wouldn’t recognize a hero if it bit them in the ass. The truth cannot be erased – except, of course, by leftist professors rewriting history for Common Core and other “education” programs intended for the continuing poisoning of young minds in America.

No, we don't yet know if Officer Wilson is guilty of a major crime, or well within his rights to save his own life by any means necessary, but one thing seems clear:  A society which confronts law enforcement controversy by rioting, looting, setting fires and committing other forms of mayhem at will may eventually get exactly the variety and quantity of cop they've invented in their minds -- a brutal enforcer who plays "dirty cop" because society has no other option, having chased away all the honorable officers who actually give a hoot about their well-being.  Beware, beware, beware.

G.I. Joe visits police departments across the nation:   Great, the faux-detached prez is re-evaluating the wisdom of allowing police departments to acquire surplus military weapons and other hardware, another offshoot of Ferguson, Missouri's incident.  While many fear this trend, and they may have had a good point just months ago -- now that we have been assured by our own government that well-funded, super-radicalized Islamic "sleeper cells" are here, the ability of every small and large law enforcement agency to obtain and maintain such equipment seems reasonable and essential.

Speaking of  thugs and now radical Islamic thugs, hey England, how's that Muslim thing going for you?  Rappin'  (or not) Brit head choppers?  Winston Churchill must be spinning non-stop over what England has allowed to walk in and dominate its government.  Not that we aren't facing the same threat here in the states. . .

. . .because we have Obama and Hillary Clinton, whose joint efforts as president and former secretary of state, respectively, took the "Arab Spring" into their hands and helped mold the Middle East into its current chaotic entity.   Watch Hillary attempt to sprint out of this one as presidential election debates begin to surface.

By the way, when do we get to see those 27-28 (?) still-classified government report pages regarding 9/11, alleged to deeply implicate Saudi Arabia in the Twin Towers takedown?  After all, it was a congressman who brought this to our attention, he being familiar with the document himself and feeling a revelation essential to public understanding of the affair.

Why do I believe a new military draft hovers in the future?  Just a thought here, and it doesn’t concern terrorists per se.  As government officials  s-l-o-w-l-y  grasp the potential horrors of an enemy's EMP device, or EMP effects from our friend the Sun, it must be obvious that a military almost totally dependent upon digital equipment may well be defenseless except for mega-numbers of trained personnel willing and able to face threats the old-fashioned way.   Yes, that's going to hurt.  And remember, kids -- no fair escaping to Canada, as folks did during the Vietnam Era, when the draft said “hi” to my generation.  Canada and the U.S. have an agreement now, so you're screwed.  But (sigh. . .) I guess there's always Mexico. . .

R.I.P. journalist James Foley, executed by nothing more exceptional than one additional psychotic coward too brainwashed even to pee unless some radical mullah gives him permission.  Is it any wonder that pig farmers consider bedding their prized critters down in pages from the Koran, whilst the artistic beam at drawing funny pictures presumed Mohammad-esque on athletic center urinals?

Today's sports report:  Don't care, never will.  When teams start shooting human heads into baskets and kicking skulls for a goal, maybe then people who don't even know the names of their public representatives will raise an eyebrow.  Don’t get your hopes up.

Wingnut Theater: A Grumpy Old Man Responds

Dimitris Hatzopoulos is one of the good guys in UFO research, last time I checked, and his efforts and contributions deserve our appreciation.

Seems I'm a little late here, but he last updated his "Best UFO Resources" Web page section entitled  List of UFO Blogs -- RSS News Feed About UFOs  in April, 2012, and you can access it here:  http://www.hyper.net/ufo/blogs.html

To my  amazement  amusement, when one scrolls way down that page to my name and blog title (well, I just changed the subheading, but access remains the same), this is what we find:

Robert Barrow "not your grandfather's UFO blog" (warning: visit only if you can handle hateful wingnut rants; I could stand the rantings of a grumpy old man, but proposing that Israel should have dropped a bomb and sank the humanitarian aid ships to Gaza on 1-Jun-2010 was the last straw for me)

Wow!  Old, grumpy  and  a wingnut dropping hateful rants -- truly, I am blessed!

First, I would remind Mr. Hatzopoulos not to forget the UFO field specifically, which boasts not only dedicated and often impressively credentialed folk of best intentions, but also "wingnuts" aplenty who survive to the current day to stink up the whole subject with every action they take in the name of investigation and public information.  No, I will not mention names.

Second, the "disclosure" and UFO information many seem to expect from the Obama Administration, which pretty much fraudulently promised to provide the most open and accessible government ever, is the last thing which will ever come forth from this White House, and if my "rantings" about this lawless bunch / gang and national and international events in general make me a wingnut (and I realize each person holds close to their heart a certain preferred definition of this word), I'm guilty.

Those who read my main blog (the one depicted here), if I'm lucky, realize that many of my comments are tongue-in-cheek or satirical and not always what they seem, but of course there are occasions when I'm deadly serious.  Regarding the "humanitarian" Gaza boat lift -- as we now know with crystal clarity, Hamas is the primary beneficiary of such humanitarian efforts and, in fact, has taken millions of dollars of "humanitarian" aid and built elegant death tunnels to Israel and acquired pricey armaments instead of  putting funds into building schools, hospitals and a better life for the Palestinians whom they dominate -- and let's not forget that the Palestinians originally chose Hamas to be their security force.  Some security!

Now, about that wingnut thingie, I think I'm being placed in some far-right political cage here, or maybe Dimitris has chained me to the world of crazy -- or both, I don't know.  At any rate, oh yeah, I am one hell of a grumpy old man, becoming grumpier with each passing day filled with complicit and lying government officials and (speaking domestically) a failed national leadership whose every maneuver brings us closer to war, misery and creeping "trophy wife" socialism.  Ergo, yes, these are the pitiable rantings of a grumpy old man, and may I take this grumpy opportunity to say,  Go, Israel, go!  Oh, and to paraphrase from the old military language -- go ahead and sink 'em if you got 'em.

(Lots o' love to you, Dimitris, and keep up the good work!)

Ferguson Follies, Social Justice & Other Thug Manifestations

FERGUSON, Missouri:   No, I've never actually (I hate that useless throw-in word, actually, yet today I can't seem to resist its charm. . .) been to Missouri, but as a kid growing up in New York there was an occasion when I and a cousin were almost kidnapped by some folks whose car displayed Missouri license plates.  Actually,  I've been meaning to tell that story here, but that’s for another time.

Hoo-boy, I'm accustomed to films of UFOs introduced publicly, occasions where the darned things are barely rewound on the reel before debunkers and skeptics shout, "FRAUD!"  Of course, I'm speaking of years gone by when film was film and there was no such thing as digital magic or photo-shop tactics which easily make the unreal seem crystal-clear real.

And now there's videotape and digital photography, and currently there's a camera in a Ferguson convenience store which appears to have captured a few shocking seconds of something that wasn't digitally altered -- a 6'4", 300 lb., 18-year-old young man who allegedly strong-arms and shoves a shop owner as he and an accomplice abscond with stolen cigars.

Quick release of the shop video did not assassinate the character of Mr. Brown.  Mr. Brown seemingly assassinated his own character by allowing the camera to perform exactly the duty it was installed to accomplish, and until the end of time Mr. Brown will be depicted rightfully as a thug and little more.  He made the choice in life, and death itself is always charged with pounding the final nail into the poster of one’s eternal reputation.

There's never an excuse for criminally putting one's hands on a store clerk or owner, and ditto for threats using guns or knives.  In fact, I think we're very close to a time when any and all robbers, aged eight to 80, who use strong-arm or weapon tactics might be executed on the spot by robotics before they can even exit a store, should they not submit to waiting for police.  When video evidence clearly demonstrates case closed, there's little more to be said in the courtroom in a digital era increasingly used to confirm or rule out crimes.

Turns out that the 300 lb. store bully and strong-arm thug is alleged to indeed be 18-year-old Michael Brown, previously described by various sources as virtue's paragon, a "gentle giant" among young men, squeaky-clean enough to begin college soon.  But Michael Brown, for reasons still under investigation, was shot dead by the -- reportedly -- severely beaten-up police officer Wilson, he and his family now in hiding, as the rabid purveyors of social justice persist in attempting to trump the official investigation while they pour into Missouri from rat holes unknown.

Why not bring in one or two active street thugs protesting the loudest about a cover-up and allow them to observe every detail of the Federal investigation, so when all is said and done they will no longer be able to blather about a cover-up?

Of course, the usual suspects, many of them out-of-towners, rushed to the scene, so concerned with the tragedy that fires must be set and stores must be looted. Among those who wished to protest peacefully appeared the violent who acted out, putting everybody's life at risk.  Seems rather obvious that store owners shot and killed no one, but they had to be held responsible by human street trash and rodents in waiting who, just as the Democrats say a good crisis should never go to waste, knew the moment had arrived to rob stores blind.  A tire merchant alone reportedly lost $100,000 in inventory to those who entertain a remarkable ability to lower themselves to some pathetically vermin-like status in the blink of an eye.

From hell they came, from California, from New York, from every nook and cranny where hatred,, reverse racial prejudice and race-based insanity flourish like bugs from the family Pentatomoidea.  With a single mind they crawled into town, so blind with a lifetime of rage and poor choices that any chance of rational thinking or even a remote idea of what justice really means escapes them today and will escape them tomorrow.  Too intent and too stupid they are to realize their own irrelevance, even as violence is encouraged, fires burn and windows break.  It isn’t that they have nothing, it’s that they are nothing.

Will protestors and rioters be happy when local businesses close forever, rare jobs disappear and shop owners escape, never to return?  Then again, since a large number of violent protestors are known to be outsiders, why would they care?

The initial autopsy confirms at least six bullets, all entering from the front, and some witness testimony claims Brown rushed the officer, who then fired multiple times.  Initial lab reports suggest Brown had used marijuana before his death.

Who wants to be a cop anymore?  Serve and protect what?  Who?  For the frantic mobs to blame all for the actions of one as riot city ensues is just stupid.  The street vaudeville of worthless lowlifes.  Is one police officer culpable for what may turn out to be a murder?  We don't yet know, though evidence in support of the officer is allegedly dribbling in per multiple witness reports.  At any rate, calm heads will wait for the truth.  Irrational heads, incapable of knowing or caring about facts, will not.  It's the sexiness of anarchy, a drug of choice for the powerless who want that special high, no matter the cost to a society.  That the locust carnival momentarily takes place in a town called Ferguson matters not a whit, because the familiar sideshow attraction of Sharpton & Jackson has come to fill a tent that might best be left empty.

The New Black Panthers stir the crowds into a frenzy, chanting death to officer Wilson.  Who will want to work in law enforcement with this as wallpaper?  That wallpaper has an interesting pattern, by the way.  The Panthers survive on hatred of white people, while La Raza (“The Race”) and its sisters feel much the same, when it comes to who’s who in America.  The cops hover somewhere in the middle as whipping boys.

Perhaps a federal law can be passed in the spirit of employing interpreters in police departments, except, under mandate, when somebody badly needs shooting the call will go out to bring in officers of similar color or race to pull the trigger.

The Molotov cocktails fly like bullets as some decry militarization of the police.  Good point, we never expected to see law enforcement armed to the teeth -- then again, if you have disturbed human beings trying to light you on fire, what's the choice?  Did you ever work with 2nd and 3rd degree burn patients?  I have, and it's no fun for either patients or medical staff, especially when weeks or months of work result in death by infection, or maybe suicide accomplished by the suffering, who tolerate neither pain nor scars.

Meanwhile, government officials from coast to coast condemn law enforcement for "playing G.I. Joe" on the battlefield sprouting in Ferguson -- the same gov folks who fully supported weaponization of the EPA, Dept. of Agriculture and other supposedly (until now) benign agencies.  Oh, and don't forget all those bullets the Obama Admin. bought which can only be used within the USA.  Used on who?

Democrat Governor Jay Nixon, in the meantime, milksops his way through this, allowing hecklers and morons to speak over him, instead of taking charge and telling the loudmouths to shut the hell up and respect his right to speak as he attempts to respect theirs.  How many days had to pass by before leaderless leader Nixon did the right thing and called in the National Guard?

Yeah, that cop, man, that poor bastard’s gonna be sentenced to attending sensitivity training for the rest of his life if found innocent, just to make sure he remembers.

Maybe hot-headed folk acting out in Ferguson would just prefer to turn law enforcement over to the always verbose, perpetually entertaining  New Black Panthers and forego official investigations altogether when troubling incidents occur.  Why look for cool heads when chaos can endure and free stuff may be obtained with effort no more strenuous than busting storefront windows?

Over the weekend I caught an episode of the old  Batman TV series (Batman, Star Trek, Lost in Space -- it's all the same bad science to me. . .), and thought instantly of the Ferguson Follies when Gotham City cops dispatched an  Anti-Lunatic Squad  van.  What holds more promise than an anti-lunatic response when people go stark-raving bonkers nuts in the streets, not only refusing to wait for the results of an albeit serious investigation, but getting even angrier because a video surfaces showing the victim up for what he apparently was, and not the clean-cut fantasy some folks conjured up to precipitate media tears.

When investigations conclude, the usual street thugs will care not about the results.  They aren’t in town about a young man’s death, not really.

We look upon the streets of Ferguson and ask:  Is this the dream of Martin Luther King?  Riots, thieves, violence?  Where is black leadership?  Surely, after all these decades, there's somebody more current and take-charge than the laughable Sharpton.  Surely, help won't come from congressional members such as Sheila Jackson Lee, who once told us publicly that the astronauts had planted an American flag on Mars when they visited the planet.   Surely, if black leadership was serious about its task, black youth would be exposed to successful notables such as Dr. Ben Carson, Col. Allen West and Sen. Tim Scott -- as opposed to the foul-mouthed, mind-paralyzing rapper of the day who offers nothing but a future of failure, as his own music predictably disappears into infinity's trash basket.

Where are the charming progressive Democrats who spent years and big money destroying cities all over the country?  They aren't about to dive into this whirlpool, because then they would have to assume the blame.

Word has it that police officer Wilson was beat pretty badly, even involving the bone structure around an eye.  One wonders how much sympathy those photos will summon, unless he happened to be robbing and thuggin' around in a shop when they were taken.  Which he was not.

Um, nice that Attorney General Eric Holder sent in the Feds and insisted upon yet a third autopsy, but -- where is the president on this, aside from a little speech here and there?  Shouldn't he be sitting by the fireside 24/7 to calm this mess down?  Maybe visit the town?   Or. . .

Or maybe the angry folks in Ferguson need to put down their Molotov cocktails and other weapons and take a second, third or fourth really, really good look at their hero / former hero, Barack Obama.  Remember him?    He golfs, vacations and does other stuff.  But, hey, move in closer, readers, particularly if you call yourself, as some say, African-Americans.  Closer. . .closer. . .

Psst!  Hey, while the throngs are out there raising hell in Ferguson, there's a really, really good chance that Mr. Obama and his lovely political  machine will do everything he can do to make border-jumping illegal aliens just as legal as you folks.  That means less jobs for African-Americans and their kids, a situation already catastrophic under this Administration.  Don't think the events in Missouri don't present the perfect opportunity for Obama to Get 'er Done, because, again, the working motto is never let a good crisis go to waste.  Interpretation?  You minority-type folks invading Ferguson, keep doing what you're doing, keep the media and police busy, and while nobody's noticing, a non-stop parade of instant Americans trampling the Southern border, ready and willing to take your jobs, your children's jobs and your public assistance payments, is being welcomed by the Hope & Change faithful and other communists -- even as you sweat or bleed in the streets.  Cops and corpses aside, that’s some great deal for you, eh?
