The FCC and Other National Disasters

First above all, profound best wishes to Glenn Beck, journalism in general and attorneys currently in pursuit of allegedly outrageous activities involving the State of Massachusetts, its judicial system, Child and Family Protective Services, Boston Children's Hospital and, by nature of its affiliation, Harvard University.  What's portrayed as happening to just one child and her family in a now extensively reported and possibly convoluted medical mismanagement mess almost reads like something out of the Nazi medical experimentation era.  We predict, based upon distant observations alone, that state officials, physicians, nurses and other medical personnel will be nailed to the wall when real justice at last prevails.  Those of you who may have seen the old documentary film, Titticut Follies in college, regarding abuse at a state mental institution, may find parallels to the Boston story as various news sources offer updates.  It's easy for me to speculate, but by all means watch this story as it evolves, for this is a keg filled with potentially negligent, if not criminal, explosives. Everything that shouldn't happen in America.  Governor D. Patrick, sounds like you should be ashamed of yourself, presiding over this endless indignation.

Speaking of Glenn Beck, I spent many an occasion attempting to dismiss Beck's work, but eventually realized what a national treasure he and his staff are.  I LOVE writing this in a blog because the blog world seems to be frequented by an abundance of crazy-ass hyped up progressive types (whom, other than government operatives, may or may not be blogging in a basement, peeing in their underwear under the stress of consistently inventing new fabrications) who haven't a clue what's happening to their own country under the current "leadership" at all levels.  Further, oh! how bonkers those folks must have been this week when the top two guys at Google actually respectfully complimented Beck on another show by virtually proclaiming him a unique visionary whose success and ability to build what he has to date -- as it continues -- is without equal.  Bloggers lie or distort all the time about what occurs on Beck's radio and TV programs, but that practice says far more about their own intellectual shortcomings or misdirected political agendas.  And they are weasels.  Wait, make that weenies.  Sorry.  Not.

I only caught a portion of a news report about that new supersonic jet aircraft due to be unveiled in 2018, the one absent of windows.  Sort of like the fuselage on that old prop job in the fifties movie, This Island Earth, where a scientist is transported via a windowless (and pilotless) airplane.  My concern?  How will passengers observe and report approaching UFOs?  How will passengers see drones and other airborne objects which may be of interest?  How will they know when "turbulence" may be caused by something indeed enigmatic?  Aren't there inherent dangers in not being able to see what's "out there" among the frequent flyer class or aircraft occupants who might need to see outside in case of an emergency?  This -- this, in addition to pilots and crew predestined not to tell passengers anything as silence prevails and journalists know not.  Supposedly, the aircraft is faster and more aerodynamically stable without the burden of windows -- good for the manufacturer, but bad for those who fly vision-clueless at supersonic speeds in this high-tech, windowless cattle car.  Mooooo.

On cutting U.S. military personnel back to levels preceding World War II:  This is nutty and stupid enough, but it would also put more military personnel in harm's way with more deaths proportionately.  The Obama bunch waxes idiotic and nationally dangerous every week, but this one takes the cake.  For those who think this is a great idea  I hope they harbor the same opinion someday in the future if/when young members of their families are suddenly drafted into the military because extra bodies are urgently required.  (Having once been one of those young folk, I can attest to the instant emotional toll.)

The Federal Communications Commission and Internal Revenue Service apparently vie for creepy government institution award of the era.  We already know enough about the IRS to either cower in fear or demand investigations, but the national nightmares never stop and authoritarian weeds of darkness never cease depleting resources and nourishment essential to the growth of beautiful alternatives.  Once again, the not so venerable FCC, which should have remained nothing more than the issuer of radio frequencies that it once was, has placed political interests ahead of the public interest -- this time, attempting to innocently Trojan-horse its fifth column into not only TV and radio station newsrooms, but into newspaper newsrooms (where the FCC has absolutely no business entering whatsoever) as well!  Oh yes, it all looked so benign, hooking up with a couple of universities to place "monitors" into newsrooms to ask questions and report back to a higher command -- which ultimately is the federal government, always ready these days to manage the news.  Monitors?  Why not bring in monitor lizards?  At least you know in advance that they're coming to eat you alive.  For now, the project has been pulled, thanks to one -- one -- concerned FCC commissioner with a conscience (he deserves a medal).  But don't despair -- Washington will be back another day to do something about the news.

(I will confess an appreciation for one project question about "news philosophy" and whether reporters ever found a story with "critical information" rejected by higher-ups  -- and I think back to recent years when a TV reporter, known to me, who presented a well-received story about UFO activity was flat-out instructed by management not to do another.  For my money, his UFO reporting was critical information.)

Interesting, too, that a recent poll finds the United States 47th in freedom of the press among the world's nations!  We've dropped an incredible 27 points just in the last 12 months, probably attributable to so many arrests of journalists.  America the beautiful, America the free. . .who will save us?  Will we not?

Don'cha love that university senior, the woman who wrote in a paper that freedom of speech has to go away so liberalism can progress?  Yeah, otherwise that freak show is doomed, in her opinion.  Bet she got an "A" -- how could she not, when the inmates run an institution of higher learning the asylum?  Intellectual freedom can apparently be a mighty dangerous thing, especially among these folks.  And to think that in a younger year I embraced the ideas of these idiots as if they were warm and fuzzy puppies.

Let the warnings be with you:  Hope you saw that news story about law professor and Big Obama Supporter Jonathan Turley, who warns that Obama's has become the imperial presidency, and he's doing everything President Nixon wished he could have done.  Doesn't sound much like a compliment from a B.O. supporter.

Hope and (Climate) Change

This time, it was Secretary of State John Kerry's turn to stand up before the world and imitate Klaatu, warning the world of Killer Weather.  Unfortunately, neither Gort the enforcer nor Klaatu's spacecraft were anywhere to be found, thus depriving us of true sci-fi drama.

Did anybody ask the old folks, those alive long enough to remember impressive winter snowfalls and brutal subzero temperatures, why none of this may be worth the blink of an eye?  Trouble is, the oldies are dying off and young people unacquainted with nature's snow / ice wrath have fewer elderly "historians" around to set them straight about "climate change," a.k.a. global warming, a.k.a. the sky is falling.

Isn't it interesting how some among the scientific community will scream and cry about climate incidents, yet these represent the same breed who ridiculed and blocked attempts at legitimate UFO investigations for decades?  Despite mountains of evidence, UFOs were a joke -- but far from inconclusive evidence regarding the human role in "climate change" simply causes them to assume an all-knowing mask of authority.  There is no more debate, they say, the man-made climate evidence is all in.  There is no debate about UFOs, the evidence just isn't there.

Meanwhile, President Obama attempts another shakedown of American taxpayers, insisting upon a billion dollars to fight global warming -- oops, I mean climate change -- and one doubts that even this pathetic Congress will loosen the purse strings to placate this White House fraud. The climatic factors which continued to help shape this planet's mood since its very inception will continue to please, disappoint, build or destroy, despite the politically energized chants of fools, frauds and pseudo-science.  There is no end-of-debate consensus among science as a whole.

And while Mr. Obama and his regulating minions work tirelessly to carve up our rights more to their liking and assure that all things domestic of any value are controlled by government, the world burns.  We seem to have gone all out to make friends of enemies and enemies of friends.  As Putin strengthens his grip on the Ukraine, now erupting in full force, and while Venezuela and Thailand blow up internally, our weak U.S. president says little, does virtually nothing to help our true international friends, and instead proceeds with domestic bullying under the guise of hope, change and fundamental transformation.  Oh, not to forget lies couched as truth.  Can you say Marxist revolutionary?

The Internal Revenue Service reflects such beauty at this time of year, no?  To paraphrase from a popular credit card advertisement, Who's in your wallet?  Poor things, we sure hope IRS high-rollers can tear themselves away from stomping on Tea Party hopefuls and taking the Fifth long enough to grab an extra share of honest folks' money so the Obama wild bunch can continue to redistribute the wealth and pay for progressive wet dreams favored by both wild-eyed Democrats and the increasingly irrelevant GOP.

Outrage in and of the State of Massachusetts?  What the hell is going on in Massachusetts?  You can find the story on the Web, but there’s a 15-year-old girl, reportedly with mitochondrial disease, swept up in the medical and legal system, allegedly taken (kidnapped?) from her parents, who were only seeking her best medical care at the Boston Children’s Hospital.  In fact, it’s reported that her medical condition has worsened as everybody plays hush-up (including some among the local media) and certain doctors may have screwed up big time.  Supposedly involved in this mess are that hospital, physicians, Harvard University, the Dept. of Children and Families, and the State of Massachusetts.  The father, placed under a gag order a year ago, finally decided to speak out via Glenn Beck’s program, and other news sources (ABC News has touched upon this also), and for that he is now threatened with jail and fines – a family already devastated financially and emotionally by the state now faces this?  If things are as portrayed, there are medical “professionals,” state officials and perhaps others in very high places who ultimately deserve lengthy prison terms and loss of licenses.  Looks a whole bunch like a coven of oh-so-proper folk dug a rather large hole for themselves and everybody is trying to cover their butts.  Before the dad is jailed and shut up forever, and before his daughter dies, we hope somebody remembers what this country and justice were intended to be.  Should these assertions be accurate, the Massachusetts situation is one more national nightmare.  Check out:  http://www.freejustina.com should you wish to donate after reading more about the case elsewhere.  The question has been poised in conjunction with all of this:  How much power does Harvard wield and who's afraid (or should be) of that big bad wolf?

Bits and Pieces for February 2014

Hooray!  The 2014 Super Bowl is history, silly hats and emptied beer cans litter surfaces from coast to coast, and now de-energized throngs can return to normal lives of either loving or semi-loving Obama, many genetically unable to even name their own senators or congressmen.  Statistics indicate that some 111.5 million viewers tuned in.  Imagine if all that testosterone went toward changing bad government.  The game is everything today, authoritarian rule and whimsey can wait until tomorrow.  Meanwhile, we ask -- considering all the security surrounding the game, tell us again -- who is winning the domestic war on terror?

UFO news here, today:  The earliest years of this blog were ALL about UFOs, and I posted numerous document scans, so if you visit this page for UFO information, be sure to spend some time with the older entries.  Otherwise, I did want to take a few lines to mention that Robbie Graham (see link to Silver Screen Saucers) has a book (see picture) coming out in September -- yeah, long time yet -- entitled,  Silver Screen Saucers: Sorting Fact from Fantasy in Hollywood's UFO Movies.  The publisher is White Crow Books. Graham regularly explores the UFO phenomenon's relationship to film, government, social interaction and other areas, and he'll at last get an opportunity to reach a wide audience appreciative of book-length writing.  Check his current blog entry for more information, and be patient because September seems as distant as the stars.

Also, I've been remiss about mentioning Curtis Collins' Web page, Blue Blurry Lines, which you may wish to check particularly because he's performed extensive research into the controversial 1980 Cash-Landrum "UFO" incident, in which injuries occurred.  I recently submitted a few long-forgotten documents regarding the case myself, and Curtis kindly put up a few scans.  The Cash-Landrum event, whatever forces precipitated it, was a bizarre encounter in every respect.  Maybe you know the history -- now explore the updates.  Go to:  http://www.blueblurrylines.com/

Stage lights extinguished for actor Philip Seymour Hoffman :  Drugs claim another.  Ponder the tragedy of it all later.  Trading your life and three young children who need you for a police report documenting forever that you checked out at age 46 with a hypodermic needle stuck in your arm, well, the brilliance of that privileged acting career is not looking so bright now.  Hollywood will mourn, tears will flow, the celebrity ego reset button will be pushed, and friends and relatives of other celebrities on the edge will ignore clues leading to tragically inevitable consequences.  Next?

Amanda Knox is either innocent of murder in Italy or she's Lady Macbeth with a very handy weapon.  Either way, Italian courts found her guilty before they found her innocent, and now the justice system there is like, oops, and wants her back and imprisoned for years.  Maybe the judges just miss having her around.

While the GOP strives to put up all the wrong and unelectable people for a presidential run, seems as though that's Rand Paul over there, sitting in the corner, hoping somebody will ask him to the dance.  Instead, as Chris Christie flounders like a, um, like a flounder, Jeb Bush keeps popping up, scaring rational people leery of family-run kingdoms.  On the other dark side, Democrats still prefer Hillary Clinton, apparently comfortable in realizing they thus far possess no other suitable prez ammo for 2016.  Joe Biden who?

Fukushima Follies:  One detects a palpable uneasiness, even amongst those who kick most conspiratorial mutterings to the curb, that the terrible things we aren't being told about Japan's radiation are piling up faster than what governments are reporting.  Just how is death and horror defined in the world of ocean ichthyology these days?  Hell on earth, and it's all ours.  Sleeping with the fishes might take on an entirely new meaning for humans.

And speaking of deadly: Republicans -- singing along with Democrats and communists regarding some need to have a pathway to citizenship for millions of overwhelmingly uneducated, unskilled and blatantly criminal people who could not care less about our laws and culture -- may as well be dropping the hangman’s noose over what it means to be an American. Add this nonsense to Obamacare, a lack of jobs for non-phony citizens and a society paying more for less and less every day, and the total impact is unaffordable and disastrous.
