A Cornucopia of Derisory Manifestations

When Syracuse University made national headlines last year as a large gaggle of emotionally rattled students and professors demonstrated almost endlessly about mini-brain issues I've since forgotten about, I e-mailed the chancellor's office and began by reminding S.U. that over many years I completed a total of three courses at the institution, each with a final grade of A, and therefore I was writing as a genius.

Because, therefore, I am by certification at least representative of a small segment of the Syracuse U. community (um, not a Marxist, however), allow me this opportunity to applaud suspended (on "administrative leave") S.U. chemistry professor (at last, a professor who teaches valuable stuff!) Jon Zubieta, for distributing his course syllabus referencing the Covid-19 virus as the "Wuhan Flu" and the "Chinese Communist Party virus."

As a former Syracuse University undergraduate (I eventually graduated from a college which has become as disturbingly progressive as the rest of them), oh, do indeed let me second that motion in hope of pissing off every Chinese communist on every square inch of global real estate by shouting from the rooftops, hey, you idiots, you, Xi, Mao -- all of you, how "stupidly" (I think use of that word is the one thing Obama ever contributed to the USA) can you act?  You suck, everybody knows you suck, and if you jerks weren't stealing intellectual property and infiltrating, um, some universities so you could suck information like the vampires you are, you'd be stuck in the fields, contemplating the significance of your toes.  If there is any possible way I, an S.U. course-taker, can irritate the Chinese communist party Neanderthals and whatever fragile Chinese (or otherwise) students currently attending Syracuse University, I'm your man -- and who knows, perhaps a future diplomat to China, though I'll do all my you-can-just-go-to-hell diplomacy from a United Nations office located somewhere deep in that criminal, America-hating global institution.

So -- For the sake of word choice, Professor Zubieta was kicked out by a garden-variety crazed progressive administration which eschews the very idea of First Amendment rights in a university setting once noted for free speech.  Jesus Christ, I am so NOT in love with these institutional authorities who take their phony job of canceling "offensive" speech to heart.

Wuhan, Flu-han, Screw-han, who cares?  Hey Syracuse University:  Just how important IS all of that Chinese money obviously flowing your way?  And while we're on the subject of education (sort of) -- I believe we'd all love to know how many members of your graduating, oh, just to be random, football and basketball teams leave with the ability to sit down and write a page about anything with correct grammar, punctuation and prose making sense to the casual reader.  Hmm?

Seems as though I forgot to add something.  What could it be?  Think now, think. . .

Oh yeah, now I remember:

FREE HONG KONG NOW, COMMUNIST CHINESE MONSTERS!

That's the extent of my diplomacy today.  If only S.U. would follow suit. . .

(New revelations about dangerous things being taught to children in the earliest school grades via teachers' unions progressives offers a reasonable explanation of why students enter college already mind-melted.)

Jacob Blake in Hell:  Here we go again and again, and as usual there is video to prove what the major progressive media won't say.  It's simple.  Jacob Blake, shot maybe too many times by a police officer, resisted all kinds of orders and a taser and then gave the appearance of possibly reaching for a weapon in his car (in which a knife was found).  If he's paralyzed from the waist down, and that's never a good thing, he put himself in the compromising position where split-second decisions of varying quality are made by cops every day.  If an officer asks me to do something, I obey, or I'll get my ass kicked.  Why do others, often embracing their own "racial supremacy" as a reason for ignoring lawful orders, believe they can just ignore commands?

Hang 'em High:  All these governors and mayors who currently refuse to end destruction by mobs in their cities and refusing to provide police protection to innocent citizens and businesses -- didn't these folks take sacred oaths to do the opposite?  I really wonder whether this bunch of progressive cultists will eventually be arrested, tried, convicted and considered worthy of a severe penalty, because their tendency to bask in their own sunshine whilst people suffer rampant violence and chaos seems destined to come to a crashing end.  We'll see.

Oh -- nice speech at the GOP convention, Nick Sandmann.  I still want to buy your name and make it mine.  MAGA.  Why MAGA?  Because this year there simply is no other option.

They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

I'll make it simple.  While serving in Air Force hospitals during the Vietnam years, I witnessed no shortage of war's physical effects.  Gunshots, for those who live through them, can cause immense damage for the recipients and nightmare work for medical staff charged with making the seemingly impossible possible.

By the way, this is not about horses and not about shooting horses..  I love horses.  In fact, I believe there are occasions where people who shoot horses should also be shot.  Not to digress. . .

America's largest cities and quite a few not so sizeable are experiencing not only protests, but calamitous riots perpetrated by people imbedded with no other interest than the brutal collapse of the nation.  Obviously, the smartest among them are joined by absolute morons, impressionable bottom-feeders and those determined to live life in ignorance.

And it's different this time.

Were those ensconced in violence able to succeed, the United States could quickly join, as a U.S. president put it so eloquently, the sh**holes of the world.

Peaceful protests are great. Violent demonstrations orchestrated by street trash revolutionaries with a terrifying plan are deplorable.

People submitting willfully to lawful orders issued by police officers enhance the qualities of a democratic republic and the rights we are all fortunate to access.  People of or of no color who choose to injure or flee from police officers -- even when ignoring the cops, opening a car door and maybe or maybe not reaching inside for a weapon -- add one more pound of the heart to an already stressful situation for cops on the street.  Bad things, things that maybe wouldn't happen at any other time, happen in an instant.

Black Lives Matter?  Now we know the radical organization's roots and supporters, and the matter of black lives apparently has little to do with BLM's goals.  Radical, America-hating revolutionary Marxists seem to be everywhere now, and the mainstream media won't say a word, nothing that could possibly rattle political progressives who justify the most egregious of actions perpetrated by the sharp-eyed mobs.

I hate gunshot wounds, and medical personnel have better things to do than clean up after trigger people whose on-hands responsibility for blood baths ends when the firearm chamber empties and they disappear into the night. If the violent leftist, Marxist, race-consumed or otherwise indescribable street trash whose main desire is to destroy, injure and loot can't be stopped with the usual methods, then maybe those charged with protecting life, limb and property should consider shooting to kill.  Yes, banish any thought of merely injuring rioters, because medical personnel would need to devote valuable attention to patching up fierce anti-American enemies who are anything but "protesters."

Shoot to kill?  Barbaric?  Not what America is about?  Look around and feast your eyes upon cities run primarily by out-of-control Democrat rule, drenched with radical revolutionaries and increasing violence, and maybe we will seriously consider whether a carefully plotted Civil War 2020 has arrived on the streets (and soon in the suburbs) of America.

What? What. What can never be dissuaded with candy and flowers may ultimately need to be cured with government-authorized bullets and a few bodies decorating city sidewalks like busted pinatas.  Bloodthirsty bullies never appear more beautiful than when they repose motionless and horizontal in the streets, but they need to be put there by sane government directives, not by vigilantes gone wild.

The New Civil War -- Equality vs. Diversity

I've been a little busy lately, ignorantly unaware that I'm supposed to apologize for being white -- that is, a person of non-color.  Wait, that's too elegant and phony-sounding, so I'll just refer to myself as a non-colored person.

Then again, should I chance to extract all remnants of whiteness out of my body in apology, I'm not quite sure what's left in there.  But for starters, I guess my newfound un-white integrity would necessitate that I immediately discontinue using anything ever invented by white people.

Hmm.  Not such a good idea.  Maybe another time.  Heck, even as a non-colored person I couldn't entertain joining forces with the now so-o-o-o corporate (and filthy rich thanks to, um, business "contributions") Black Lives Matter folk because I don't especially cater to embracing Marxism, which cares not for black people or constitutional freedoms.

Remember when everybody was striving to obtain equality for all?  Apparently, being equal wasn't enough.  Society needed a step up to that thing called diversity, where everybody could not only be equal, but equal by degrees, depending upon one's ethnicity, color and non-color.  From what I've seen of college and corporate diversity classes, being something other than a non-colored person makes equality work even better as diversity rolls along.

Igniting the publishing world:  New York's favorite egomaniac governor, Andrew Cuomo, plans to write and release a book about his Covid-19 trials and tribulations just before the November elections, natch' -- though we're rather doubtful that chapter one will deal with thousands of nursing home residents who died due to his moronic decision to place elderly Covid-19 positive patients in said nursing homes when the pandemic panic started.  Brilliant leadership, just brilliant.  Not to worry, as NY City falls due largely to Democrat rule and Covid continues to dominate progressive minds, Cuomo will twist and turn all the right words to make himself look like a war hero, as opposed to a Covid-19 Mussolini.  Bartender -- a round of piano wire for everybody involved in this outrage, please.

Attorney trash:  Don't tell me what a great lawyer you are as you and your buddies engage in this hideous lawsuit against the Boys Scouts of America.  Aside from the multiple millions of dollars all of you anticipate collecting at the trough, I continue in my profound ignorance to wonder just what settles victims' lives by grabbing an organization's wealth for remedial (curative?) payoffs.  Does the pain or memories of unwanted sexual encounters or porno displays somehow find therapeutic benefit depending upon the number of dollars showered upon one?  And how is it that an entire organization's funding must suffer because scoutmaster personnel aren't being sued individually?  Of course, it's all about where the big bucks hover, and the "punishment" goes where the green stuff grazes.  Like so many class action lawsuits which make nobody happier than the law firms involved, this one reeks of cheap suits and a greedy cluster looking to snatch both cash and prime real estate from an entity, not the individuals responsible directly.

The Democrat "Convention:"  I tried, but I just can't subject my optic or aural nerves to this overwhelming exhibit of liars, defectives and political criminals who might best spend their lives in prison, away from decent folk.  How anybody allowing themselves an opportunity to learn about this fetid bunch could vote for one or all says a lot about the state of self, public and college educations in this country.

The Treatment Which Dares Not Speak its Name

I shouldn't have been surprised.  After all, Twitter, YouTube and the usual social network suspects have already been pursuing and shutting out physicians and other knowledgeable folk rather consistently every time they dare offer (Shhh! Whisper it!) hydroxychloroquine as a potentially helpful drug in the matter of Covid-19.  The problem, we suspect, is the fact that the very word has President Donald Trump's mouth prints and smart phone thumb impressions all over it.  Elections approach, you know.

Whether the "big tech tyrants" (as named by Sen. Ted Cruz) like it or not, solid scientific labs and personnel are popping up regularly and extolling the virtues of the old -- and inexpensive -- medication hydroxychloroquine for treating and relieving symptoms of Covid-19.

The latest victim -- not of the virus, but of social network bully Twitter -- is national conservative radio talk show host Joe Pags, who merely wrote on Twitter the words, "Hydroxychloroquine works."  Almost immediately his account was shut down and Pags received a pop-up warning that he violated Twitter standards by not agreeing with the World Health Organization.

Oh boy, are we in hell.

W.H.O., of course, and Trump is quite correct, seems in large part an arm of Chinese communist propagandists regarding the virus and its origins.

No matter, of course. that Joe Pags referenced solid medical research and competent physicians.  If the messenger doesn't carry a message in agreement with social network activists and censors, there's a heavy price to be paid.

Sure, private internet platforms can do as they wish -- but the most notorious among platforms have become publishers via such self-accommodating edits and deletions, and they should be taken to task, as their status has changed profoundly.

If social network censors ever get over their hatred of Donald Trump and conservatives long enough to understand and actually implement all First Amendment guarantees, and if they come to realize the REAL dangers inherent in naked Marxist organizations, blatant America haters, Black Lives Matter and Antifa (which ultimately and respectively care nothing about black people or conquering the fascism they embrace publicly every day), maybe an Internet freedom "cure" on par with promising hydroxychloroquine research will blaze a new trail of free speech.

And now this, fresh from Glenn Beck and a (gasp!) actual physician with credentials:

A 2020 Passing

She was a few years older than I,  and the one who competed in horse shows and won blue ribbons when we were kids. She probably wouldn't have had a horse at all, except that her teenage whining  (there was a time when every girl dreamed of having her own horse) resulted in our father's ultimatum:  If she could find somebody to give her a horse, she could have one.

Hardly one to be put off by parental obstacles, my sister wrote a letter to a local newspaper columnist and requested his assistance in accomplishing her teenage dream.  Promptly, her horse-yearning plight appeared in print.  Few were more surprised than our father when a "horse family" who lived a county away answered the plea and, indeed, gifted my sister with a young female quarter horse whom she named "Silver Nugget" because of its markings.

Thus began a family romance with several horses as time went on, in addition to loving, if not frequently cantankerous relationships with all manner of animals, both domesticated and wild from the woods.

So many, oh yes, so many pleasant and unpleasant things, and even a tragedy or two thrown in for good measure, blur the lines between youth and old age.  The photo displayed here, showing my sister sitting atop "Outlaw," a favorite and proud creature owned by the generous horse family's patriarch and extraordinary horseman (one Christmas, he kindly presented me with my very first BB rifle --  girls want horses and boys want guns, you see, at least that is how it was in the land of Used To Be) is more than 60 years old now, but pretty much paints a rare memory I can hold onto as time winds its way forward without fail and pauses for no one.
