Dueling With Needles in Washington

This Covid-19 mess could be a movie:
"Phantom of the Opera Meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers."  The components fall perfectly into place.

In this marriage of two screenplays, however, scenes vary a bit.  For instance, in this script you're a human monster whether you wear a mask or you don't.  Society instead judges the characters based upon receiving accommodating vaccinations which transform humans into compliant pod people victims.

In fact, so determined are pod people -- otherwise known as Democrats for the most part (I think in "Star Trek" they are called the Borg) -- that their selected minions, backed up with malleable scientific opinions, decide to "immunize" children as young as five, proclaiming authoritatively (as they always do) that adult-untested vaccines are also just fine for children.

The Phantom mask aspect isn't nearly as difficult to script out as the pod people part, because the scientific medical community must be assigned roles authentically.  This requires that some physicians work for government and then pharmaceutical companies, then vice-versa, all the while being sure to involve themselves in writing research papers which tend to say good things about even the most questionable of drugs and vaccines, as there is big money to be made here.

As if compelled by some secret, leaderless force, however, pod people refuse to test or vaccinate illegal aliens coming across the Southern U.S. border by the tens of thousands, choosing instead to allow nomadic Covid carriers to spread diseases for which pod people will simply take advantage of a good crisis by blaming conservative Americans.

Needles for all, a new motto for a new age.  A hypodermic duel, but a grueling dance to the death for the uncooperative.

Does this movie script have an end?  No.  The masking, vaccinations, warnings, threats and power grabs go on forever, but the pod people are content, relatively uninformed and always ready to serve the government which has served them, oh, so very well.
