A Remembrance of Monsters

The 1930s and forties are not ancient history.  Names such as Hitler and Mussolini have not been wiped away by the sands of time.

While our friends on the radical left and their counterparts in other countries attempted to "build back better," people in other lands whom they embraced as manageable or non-threatening were busily building something else.  But who bothered to care?  In the United States, we were too wrapped up in calls for destroying the police, hoping & changing the country, and finding ways to make the subject of racial injustice a permanent torch to be wielded by real racists who wouldn't know truth, integrity or a real job if they descended from the sky.

Just plain folks who could not care less about an evil international reach immersed their efforts in blowing up Twitter with outrage over the actions of celebrities, hypnotically watching the bouncing balls in TV sports events, or otherwise engaging in harmless events whose glittering rewards resulted in a total mental blackout regarding things of danger.

So here we are.  Biden, the Democrats and their old buddy, war, may be together again for not not not the first time.  Need we suggest that if Trump were still President the monster Putin's reanimation might have been tempered somewhat?  Instead, this. Rash-Putin the mad. . .dictator.  Unfortunately, even monsters can be cunning and intelligent to the detriment of everything we believe untouchable.

As if on cue, demons arise.  If it's not Putin now -- and obviously Xi, Kim and Iran stand in waiting for their right time in history -- it's the perhaps surprising fascistic roar of Trudeau in Canada, spreading his authoritarian wings as widely as he can to carpet-bomb weapons of extremist law upon peaceful Canadian truckers, their families and anyone caring enough to help them.  His fellow Canadians?  Trudeau will be hard-pressed to find them emulating his tactics.

Ukraine?  According to some, Biden, other higher-ups in the Obama administration and maybe a Clinton or two might have had a dirty hand in previous Ukrainian affairs.  Follow the money, swallow the lies.

We in the U.S. have our own monsters.  The Biden family's alleged corruption (hello, China?) and, to be particularly relevant at the moment, Biden's beat-down of the fossil fuel industry currently illustrates horror, including the darned near unaffordable prices at the gas pump and in home heating.  What's he going to do about it?  Nothing that will aggravate his far left friends.  Green cult lunatics and inflation perpetuated by our home-grown fools and puppeteers in other nations will destroy us all faster than anything out of a Chinese lab in Wuhan.  Ah yes, the new Covid religion can walk hand-in-hand with Green cultists as the rest of us discuss the time of day..

To completely know the monsters of today, we must remember those of a nearby yesterday.  We will never forget, said somebody or another at a crucial post-carnage moment.
