Transformation into a Third World Country of Second Class Citizens -- Welcome to 'Build Back Better' USA

"That could never happen here"
has already happened and continues to advance.  Why wouldn't the left (both domestic and foreign) be working overtime to diminish what were long believed to be indestructible American freedoms, when clumped masses of armchair patriots prefer TV or sports entertainment over the boredom of politics and government decisions made by unelected bureaucrats in the dead of night designed to restrain or muzzle American values?

As I write this, knowing full well that my role here as a generally ineffectual blogger won't amount to anything of significant substance, I nevertheless rage on.

For instance, when we eventually regain a Department of Justice worthy of respect, instead of fear, by everyday American citizens I long to see federal marshals show up primarily at the doors of radical leftists with arrest warrants --and I hope with everything in me that the people screwing with our American system either go to prison for years or in some cases receive the ultimate.  Yes, these will include those holding governance and crooked legislative positions at influential levels.  When we reach the point where so-called leaders, failed leaders at that, reach the point where they tempt the definitions of both tyranny and treason, that's a catastrophe in the making.  Nor should we exclude prominent members of the ESG, DEI and climate cults who currently do so much to impoverish and destroy American families, businesses and institutions:  They claim a purpose, but so must the rest of us as we force them to retreat.

Notice how the DOJ is pursuing Elon Musk?  Looks as though -- when you do things Biden or other appendages of the government snake don't appreciate, they have their own junkyard dog called Garland, and we don't mean Judy.  Junkyard dogs are funny critters -- Xi has Kim and Biden has Garland, same general idea, I guess.

The Southern and Northern borders are now almost irrelevant to polite conversation, for the invasion is in force as never before.  Millions of invaders with no place to go and nothing to do will kill, rob and rape Americans as illegal drug infestation becomes even more hometown in nature.  Just as intended.   Biden, Mayorkas and so many others did nothing but make excuses and set forth weak to useless options.  Is it time at last to say Donald Trump was one of the greatest U.S. Presidents in history?  Yes, it is.  His border fence made a palpable difference, but to the people whose heads were filled with nothing but I-hate-Trump sawdust his numerous successes and kept promises mean nothing.

So now they have their Biden cake -- unfortunately, that's something akin to a toilet cake --  and they and we are eating it, too.  But the man didn't arrive solo.  He brought along the United Nations, "The Great Reset," the World Economic Forum, the presumed influence of George Soros, assorted globalist baggage beyond our knowledge, revitalized mega-union shenanigans, "green" terrorists, a very interesting son (and family), clueless college students stupid or naive enough to expect miracles from their Democrat uncle, and a plethora of devoted but born-this-way stupid clumps of pod-people supporters.

Accompanying this package of constitutional doom are Biden's and the Democrats' other gifts and/or consequences of elections:  Obama's continuing how-to hologram, a lovingly compliant major media industry, unconstitutional actions, unconscionable lies about Covid fed and spread via the Internet, blatant censorship, vastly bigger government, mental deterioration, inflation called something else, a criminal invasion at the borders as noted, animosity fostered among other nations who we previously counted solidly as friends, disintegration of trust, an embrace of the global elite and their authoritarian and lunatic plans, and -- we shudder to note -- encouraging John Kerry to traverse the planet to warn of climate change caused to some degree by Kerry's own jet engine transportation.

Most of them, like moths drawn to the flame, are doomed to vote Democrat next time around because they cannot fathom the difference between democracy (hint: A key word for socialism!) and a constitutional republic (hint:  Very, very good!).

"Bidenomics?"  Emphasize the "icks."  The middle class leans toward destruction and the country degrades into a Third World atmosphere, city by city.  Democrat-run cities for the most part.  Ain't that curious?

The Democrats some of us remember somewhat fondly are gone.  John F. Kennedy wouldn't be allowed past the cloak room at a Democrat fund raiser with today's standards in play.  I believe RFK, Jr. would agree regarding his Uncle Jack.

Really, I hate typing this shit but, even as a minimally to moderately aware individual who sees what is afoot in the USA, I cringe and quake knowing that the nation's own citizens, the voting class, overflow with the unaware and couldn't care less whose rights, fought and died for, are slipping away to socialism and perhaps its eventually mass-murdering successors.  That aspect comes about once we're thoroughly impoverished, mentally defeated and without personal power over the government we are slowly encouraged to fear.  Shit.  What do you want, a hopeful, pleasant word designed not to offend?  Not today.

Maybe it's a tad intriguing to focus upon the UAW strike and Biden, "the most pro-union president in history" we are told.  Funny how union management doesn't seem to value his presence near the picket lines, but he's going anyway.  I wonder if their members know or even care that inflation under grandfatherly Joe has helped put them in their current position?

And there's the Hollywood writers' strike, rumored to be over shortly.  Pssst!  Hey auto workers and Tinsel town word smiths, word to you:  It doesn't matter what contracts are signed, artificial intelligence WILL take jobs at some point because there is no way of stopping it.  AI is smarter than your attorneys, bosses and union chiefs, and it WILL trounce your most heartfelt desires and promises of eternal AI-free paradise.  Can you still not see those gleaming metallic robots marching your way like armies from hell?  Oh, and automobiles will be too expensive for most people, anyway, and that's aside from the problem currently noted about lithium auto batteries being too heavy for parking garage floors.

Which reminds me of places offering to trade your old mercury thermometers and thermostats for the digital version.  I bought a digital oral thermometer years ago and when I needed it recently the battery was dead.  Fortunately, I kept one oral mercury thermometer and treasure it.  If you give up your mercury house thermostats for the digital kind, that's one more step toward letting the government and its buddy-buddy utility companies control your temperature.  Whenever you hear about "smart" homes or technology, just substitute the word "spy" for "smart" and you shouldn't go wrong.  At least, not for as long as choice remains an American right.

Things always change for better or worse.  On the bright side, have you seen the new commercial with the Omega XL lady?  She apparently had a re-makeover makeover and, at least in the different lighting, she doesn't look so much like Vampira anymore.  Hmm.  I wonder if Omega XL people saw my last post about her.  It wasn't kind.

Ukraine and our money:  So, where's it all going?  Is it really too much to ask Zelenskyy for a  proper accounting as he visits Congress again with hat in hand and carefully designed revolutionary-style clothing on his body?  Why isn't the left screaming about his toxic masculinity?

The world spins on, and gives not a whit about climate alarmists as it rotates around the legitimate influencer known as the sun.

FOI -- The Concept vs. Its Practice

This is another letter I posted several years ago, but it certainly deserves a re-post now.

Putting the UFO issue aside, the Freedom of Information Act in general seemed a great victory in the sixties, but the process now can seem cumbersome or stuck endlessly in the weeds.  With social media joining the mix, knowing what is applicable becomes a chore in itself.  FOI aside, how much misinformation or disinformation did leftists feed the social network in order to gain power and influence as Covid panic dominated our lives?  Covid hysteria gave progressives the perfect opportunity to lie, cheat, deform and steal away guaranteed American rights until we now live in a twisted jungle of confusion lorded over by judges who have no business judging and legislators, scoundrels, who pick and choose what's best for their political parties or agenda.

"Freedom" and "information," strangely, are now words of controversy, especially for the left.  In the rat's nest called Washington, D.C., where people whose mere presence during January 6 earned them years in prison, there remains a corrupt swamp growing deeper every day.  Freedom of misinformation appears a government specialty in the current climate.  And speaking of climate. . .oh, no, I won't get started on that swamp species today.

Will reform, including defeat of progressive -- communist -- dogma, come about in the nick of time, or will good Americans of strengthened spirit one day be forced to host an occasional "Benito Mussolini weekend?"

What is a Benito Mussolini weekend?  I guess one could describe it as a freedom fair of sorts whose esteemed guests of honor attend reluctantly, an occasion adorned with refreshments, a circus trial atmosphere, standing room only -- and plenty of piano wire, because nothing beats a good length of steel cord to highlight solemn occasions.

In Case of Panic Emergency, Break Glass or Something

It is not precisely true that I saved every letter and shred of paper ever received, in addition to keeping my own umbilical cord in a freezer.  Actually, I sold the umbilical cord to a coven of witches years ago.  They didn't really want it, but the price was irresistible.  At their request I autographed it, which, as you can imagine, proved to be a very difficult task.

Oh, and there's this "enhanced" semi-oldie from my correspondence files.  I wonder how far we have actually advanced in Congress on those rare occasions when the UFO issue rears its politically annoying head?  So much is just theater, but so much more is just vaudeville.

Major Keyhoe and the Book Intended

While looking through some old files last week, I happened upon a 1977 letter from the late Major Donald E. Keyhoe (USMC, ret.).  I forgot that Keyhoe had actually honored me with two letters -- quite a feat, since those close to Keyhoe often noted that expecting a personal written reply from the former director of the old National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) was often an exercise in disappointment.

I met the major briefly as a teenager in 1965 during a visit to the NICAP office in Washington, D.C., also occupied at that time by assistant director Richard Hall and faithful secretary Lelia Day.  For those who are unfamiliar with Keyhoe, he authored five books on UFOs and had also served as an aide to Charles Lindbergh (his earliest book, FLYING WITH LINDBERGH made six, and another called M-DAY, which I have never seen, would make seven -- but it's the UFO books for which Keyhoe will always be remembered).

My hope was to contact former NICAP secretary Day, to perhaps write an article about her time with NICAP. Unfortunately, she had passed on.

Fast-forward to today, when NASA and other government agencies still treat UFOs (UAP!!!!) like a hot potato which nobody really cares to eat.  Yet, back in Keyhoe's declining years, when he was still, often unfairly, accused by skeptics of sensationalizing the UFO subject in order to write a good story, he was "right on" about NASA and the Air Force.

I featured this Keyhoe letter many years ago in the blog, but this time I have my follow-up letter and corresponding news clipping to elaborate upon how right he was.

Too bad the major wasn't able to turn out another book.  Its relevance to the current government UFO atmosphere of hide-and-seek would have fit right in.
