Cheapened Funerals and Artificial Flowers

(Distasteful visuals borrowed from Web miscellany.  No, they aren't funny.)

So, they conducted funeral services for Michael Brown in Missouri yesterday.  At least one TV network reporter referred to him as Mike, as if he’d known him since birth.  All I really know is, his father was pleading yesterday and the day before for privacy as he and his wife prepared to bury their 18-year-old son.  Parents must fear this potential obligation every day of their lives.  You never know.

Of course, privacy wasn't in the cards.  If the media frenzy wasn't party-atmosphere enough, the list of some "dignitaries" attending this bon voyage, or make that a farewell, borders upon disturbing.

Sharpton spoke and wanted everybody to understand that he wasn’t preaching hatred, but the usual pot-stirrers attended nevertheless.  More disappointing was the absence of the shop owner who young Michael apparently strong-armed and robbed, who could have taken the podium to describe what a fine, upstanding young  thug  person the guy was.  One suspects that Michael Brown loved his family and his family he, but Brown's life on the streets obviously wasn't showing the same love.  He made a choice in the shop, and one might just conclude that it wasn’t his first diversion from the straight-and-narrow.  You are known by the crimes you keep, especially when they’re recorded in glorious video, and, as in weddings, video memories are forever.

The dignitaries.  A presidential cabinet member and three White House aides attended the services in order to. . .to. . .sorry, I forget, or maybe I didn't know in the first place -- why are they there?  To support the shop victim after his ordeal?  To award a posthumous meritorious strong-arming  medal to Michael Brown, and perhaps a good conduct medal to story-changing Brown cohort and police person-of-interest Dorian Johnson?  Hmm, no that's not it.  Well, no matter, Eric Holder had already visited Ferguson, a trip he had to make in order to. . .because. . .oh, I am so confused.

This may be a stretch, but I'm thinking the White House representatives attended just as practice, in case these folks ever get around to attending the funerals of military heroes and other Americans who actually contributed something to society other than bullying and stealing.  Strange that the White House apparently couldn’t bother to send any such delegation to the funeral of a (two star) major general gunned down in the Middle East a few days ago, a man who dedicated his whole life to protecting the United States.

But A.G. Eric Holder is the puzzler.  He, the co-architect of "Fast and Furious" gun-running in Mexico, allegedly resulting in the deaths of border personnel and numerous Mexican nationals, seemed so out of place last week in Missouri.  Six (?) shots from a police officer's weapon up against how many fired from Holder-approved, high-powered weaponry in Mexico?  Oopsie.
Anyway, who's counting, and if somebody was counting bullets using Common Core mathematics standards, counting wouldn't be finished until several more useless steps were implemented to reach a solution.  Yes, I've digressed. . .

Nevertheless, after professional rioters and communists raise their arms, cry and scream  Don't shoot!  at the funeral session, within view of news cameras, natch', everybody will rest up and re-focus their attention upon pillaging and cop-bashing, and again demands for police officer Darren Wilson's head will fill the streets.  To these folks, justice means their version of justice.  Could that be more in-your-face?

Trouble is, ya gotta treat street mobs and their one-track mind twit supporters like little children who become violently destructive if they can't get what they want, and man-oh-man do they want Officer Wilson -- and what you have to do is tell the thugs-R-us crowd that the official investigation will take weeks, maybe months, and then you hope and pray that once the real truth comes out -- which likely surfaced two minutes after officials first arrived at the death scene --  the irrational and politically motivated human detritus will have become more or less docile with the passage of time.  Good luck with that.  Moronic Missouri governor Nixon and the affable Holder have already used words that may be interpreted as condemning the police officer -- assuring that chaos will again prevail, should Officer Wilson be exonerated of all charges.  Oh, well, they might pin a minor charge or two on him just to  be  seem fair to the rabid crowds, but the fact is that nothing but nothing ticks off the take-to-the-streets bunch like cops declared even remotely innocent.

Statistics released a few days ago appear to demonstrate that black people killing other black people is the crime that skyrockets, and only a fraction of the total over several years have involved black people killed by police officers (and by white officers at that).  But the myth prevails and the myth-makers persist, and their podiums are as at-home at funerals as they are at street protests.

And -- what's this?  A whitish sort of youth killed by a not-whitish sort of cop in Utah or someplace a few days ago? Media?  Why would the media care?

Increasingly, we are ruled by lies over truth, and on this very day nobody realizes that more acutely than law enforcement personnel across the nation.  Society has honored and buried a young thug on this day, a menacing thug old enough to make certain choices, who somehow was painted as something akin to a war hero.  He is not a hero, he was a thug, and we can say that with clarity simply because of a store’s video and nothing beyond that.  In Air Force hospitals in the sixties and seventies I met many young men of all races who were heroes.  The Obama White House, except for a few occasions when handing out awards seemed politically expedient or required, wouldn’t recognize a hero if it bit them in the ass. The truth cannot be erased – except, of course, by leftist professors rewriting history for Common Core and other “education” programs intended for the continuing poisoning of young minds in America.

No, we don't yet know if Officer Wilson is guilty of a major crime, or well within his rights to save his own life by any means necessary, but one thing seems clear:  A society which confronts law enforcement controversy by rioting, looting, setting fires and committing other forms of mayhem at will may eventually get exactly the variety and quantity of cop they've invented in their minds -- a brutal enforcer who plays "dirty cop" because society has no other option, having chased away all the honorable officers who actually give a hoot about their well-being.  Beware, beware, beware.

G.I. Joe visits police departments across the nation:   Great, the faux-detached prez is re-evaluating the wisdom of allowing police departments to acquire surplus military weapons and other hardware, another offshoot of Ferguson, Missouri's incident.  While many fear this trend, and they may have had a good point just months ago -- now that we have been assured by our own government that well-funded, super-radicalized Islamic "sleeper cells" are here, the ability of every small and large law enforcement agency to obtain and maintain such equipment seems reasonable and essential.

Speaking of  thugs and now radical Islamic thugs, hey England, how's that Muslim thing going for you?  Rappin'  (or not) Brit head choppers?  Winston Churchill must be spinning non-stop over what England has allowed to walk in and dominate its government.  Not that we aren't facing the same threat here in the states. . .

. . .because we have Obama and Hillary Clinton, whose joint efforts as president and former secretary of state, respectively, took the "Arab Spring" into their hands and helped mold the Middle East into its current chaotic entity.   Watch Hillary attempt to sprint out of this one as presidential election debates begin to surface.

By the way, when do we get to see those 27-28 (?) still-classified government report pages regarding 9/11, alleged to deeply implicate Saudi Arabia in the Twin Towers takedown?  After all, it was a congressman who brought this to our attention, he being familiar with the document himself and feeling a revelation essential to public understanding of the affair.

Why do I believe a new military draft hovers in the future?  Just a thought here, and it doesn’t concern terrorists per se.  As government officials  s-l-o-w-l-y  grasp the potential horrors of an enemy's EMP device, or EMP effects from our friend the Sun, it must be obvious that a military almost totally dependent upon digital equipment may well be defenseless except for mega-numbers of trained personnel willing and able to face threats the old-fashioned way.   Yes, that's going to hurt.  And remember, kids -- no fair escaping to Canada, as folks did during the Vietnam Era, when the draft said “hi” to my generation.  Canada and the U.S. have an agreement now, so you're screwed.  But (sigh. . .) I guess there's always Mexico. . .

R.I.P. journalist James Foley, executed by nothing more exceptional than one additional psychotic coward too brainwashed even to pee unless some radical mullah gives him permission.  Is it any wonder that pig farmers consider bedding their prized critters down in pages from the Koran, whilst the artistic beam at drawing funny pictures presumed Mohammad-esque on athletic center urinals?

Today's sports report:  Don't care, never will.  When teams start shooting human heads into baskets and kicking skulls for a goal, maybe then people who don't even know the names of their public representatives will raise an eyebrow.  Don’t get your hopes up.
